Pages From the Future.
صفحات من المستقبل
The relationship between the past and the future is not as inverted as it might seem. The former may depend on the latter to accomplish what it initiated, complete it, or even change it completely! I’ve always witnessed the continuation of the past, without overlooking or under-appreciating the efforts of the predecessors, with the great conviction that the output is not to be limited to the time in which it was produced in.
Then arises the essential question of what limits the freedom to renewal and change. To initially discover the compulsive possessiveness of things no matter what its essence or significance.
This project comes in as a way of resistance towards this compulsiveness and an attempt to reformulate what was considered one time to be complete.
For now, the solution is to let go and abandon all expected ways.
Let it be the start of this resistance, to let go of the context within and the meanings represented in these pages. In response to relinquishing the possession of the previously acquired artistic style, the work then becomes a reaction and a continuous dialogue between the artist and the pages.
The outcome reflects every page being dependent on the other, and comes to create an even bigger topic while still remaining independent of its own. To become a product of a different artistic nature from what the artist himself is accustomed to.
العلاقة بين الماضي والمستقبل ليست علاقة عكسيه كما يبدو للوهلة الأولي! فقد يعتمد الأول علي الأخير لإنجاز ما بدأه أو تكملته أو حتي تغيره! فدوما أري إثبات إستمراريه تجديد الماضي، بنظرة لا تخلو من تقدير عميق لجهد السابقين مع قناعة بعدم وجوب حد الناتج بالزمن المنتج به الشئ ذاته. ويظهر التساؤل بماهية ما يحد حرية التجديد! لأجد في مقدمتها هو التملك التعسفي للأشياء أياً كانت ماهيته! ليأتي هذا العمل كاملاً كنوع من مقاومة هذا التعسف ومحاولة لإعادة صياغة ما كان يعتبر مكتملاً في وقت ما مضي
فالتخلي علي عكس المتوقع يبدو حلاً الآن! ليبدأ العمل بمقاومة تملك المادة المبني عليها العمل متمثلة في هذه الصفحات. ليصل للتخلي عن تملك الأسلوب الفني المكتسب سابقاً، فيكون العمل عبارة عن رد فعل ومحاورة مستمرة بين الفنان والصفحات
وينعكس هذا علي الناتج حيث تعتمد كل صفحة علي الأخري لتكوّن الموضوع الأكبر ولكن تظل هي الأخري مستقلة بذاتها! ليصبح ناتجاً بطابع فني مغاير عما يعهده الفنان ذاته
